Setting
Adams Fork Campground sits among tall conifers along the Adams Creek Fork of the Cispus River in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The site consists of 24 paved back-in campsites without hookups, including three double sites, with several resting directly on the riverbanks. Amenities include fire rings, drinking water, and vault toilets. RV spurs accommodate rigs up to 30 feet. The location functions as a base for exploring Mount St. Helens, and campers have immediate access to the 50-mile Valley Trail network, which caters to motorized off-road vehicles, mountain bikes, hikers, and horses.
Getting there: Take I-5 to State Highway 12 and exit at Randle, Washington. Follow State Highway 131 for 1 mile, staying left at the fork, and continuing on Forest Service Road 23. Stay left at next fork for Forest Service Road 21 to Forest Service Road 56 to arrive at the campground.
