A 165-acre coastal reserve on Puget Sound at the southern end, anchored by Mayo Cove and Carr Inlet with over two miles of saltwater shoreline. The park features 2.5 miles of hiking and biking trails plus an interpretive nature path. Visitors can boat, scuba dive, fish, swim, waterski, clam dig, crab, and beachcomb. Established in 1953 and named after Stephen Penrose, a longtime president of Whitman College.
