Cougar Rock Campground sits at 3,180 feet elevation in Mount Rainier National Park, adjacent to the Nisqually River and surrounded by thick evergreen forest. The facility features 173 rustic campsites equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, flush toilets, and drinking water, but no hookups. The grounds include an amphitheater for ranger programs and a lookout point with views of Mount Rainier. Experienced hikers can access the 93-mile Wonderland Trail directly from the campground, and the Paradise area is a short drive up the road.
