Cape Disappointment State Park encompasses 2,023 acres where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean, featuring old-growth Sitka spruce forest, freshwater lakes, marshes, and oceanside tidelands. Eight miles of hiking trails wind through diverse terrain. On-site are the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center on a bluff overlooking the confluence, North Head and Cape Disappointment lighthouses, Fort Canby, World War II military ruins, camping, and picnicking facilities.
