Ohanapecosh Campground sits at 1,914 feet elevation on the southeast side of Mount Rainier National Park, set within an ancient old-growth Douglas fir forest along the Ohanapecosh River. The campground provides 188 individual campsites for tents and RVs. On-site facilities include drinking water and flush toilets, but there are no electric hookups. Trails leading to Silver Falls waterfall originate directly within the facility, and the Ohanapecosh Visitor Center is located on site adjacent to the river.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
Backbone Ridge stands 2,527 ft above the site, 1.1 miles west. Crowded here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a 188-site campground. Ohanapecosh River runs 0.2 mi off. 8 hike-in sites -- 28 sit on the water, most of them shaded. The nearest town, Eatonville, is 34 mi off.
