Setting
Iron Creek Campground winds through old-growth Douglas fir, cedar, and hemlock near the confluence of Iron Creek and the Cispus River in Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The facility features 99 single and double family sites with paved, level back-in spurs for RVs, each equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring. Drinking water is available on site. The barrier-free, 0.3-mile Iron Creek Old Growth Trail meanders directly from camp through the forest along the river, where visitors can fish for cutthroat trout, rainbow trout, and whitefish.
Getting there: Take Highway 12 from I-5 and proceed 40 miles to Randle, turn south on Forest Road 25 and continue for 12 miles to the campground.
