Taneum Cabin sits among pine and cottonwood along Taneum Creek in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, roughly 20 miles from Ellensburg. The cabin includes a flush toilet, sink, shower, wood stove, and propane-powered lights, heater, range, and refrigerator. Outside are a picnic table, campfire ring, and dumpster. Anglers can fish Taneum Creek for fair-sized trout in summer. The surrounding forest offers trails within five miles for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and motorbikes.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.

Shadow Creek runs 0.1 mi off. Cabins and shelters rather than pads -- most of them shaded. Osborn Point stands 1,478 ft above the site, 2.5 miles northwest. The nearest town, Cle Elum, is 7.6 mi off.
