Setting
Okanogan-Wenatchee NF group campground near Kachess Lake, 13 miles west of Cle Elum via I-90 exit 70, at 2,300 feet elevation. Single group site accommodates 100 people and 25 vehicles with picnic tables, campfire rings with grills, and vault toilets. No potable water. Group site $65/night. Reservations through recreation.gov. Offers lake fishing, mountain biking, day hiking, and swimming.
Getting there: Take I-90 to exit 70. Turn over freeway, then left onto West Sparks Road. Follow West Sparks Road 0.5 mile and turn right onto Kachess Dam Road/ Forest Road #4818. Travel approximately 5 miles to the campground on left.
