Cle Elum River Group Campground is set in a mixed-conifer forest at 2,300 feet elevation within Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, tucked below mountain peaks along its namesake river. The facility consists of a single large group site outfitted with picnic tables, fire rings with grills, drinking water, and vault toilets. The adjacent river and nearby reservoir contain rainbow trout, cutthroat, and kokanee. The site provides access to summer hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail and water sports at Speelyi Beach on Cle Elum Lake, while the neighbouring French Cabin Creek Sno-Park handles winter access.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Sits on broad, near-level ground.
