A 1,127-acre marine state park on an island in Puget Sound, reachable only by private boat or tour vessel. Five miles of shoreline offers views of the Olympic Mountains and Seattle skyline. The island features hiking and biking trails, a marina with moorage buoys and diving opportunities, fishing, and shellfish harvesting. Historically significant as a traditional summer camp of the sx̌aq̓tabš people and the birthplace of Chief Seattle (c. 1786); acquired by the state in 1959.
