Sprawling 999-acre coastal fort on Whidbey Island's waterfront with three miles of Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail wrapping the perimeter. Admiralty Head Lighthouse anchors the site. Built 1897–1901 as part of the Triangle of Fire defensive strategy protecting Puget Sound, the fort became obsolete after aircraft and battleship advances transformed coastal defense. Preserved as state park since 1955 within Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve.
