Sun Lakes-Dry Falls State Park spans 3,774 acres centered on the dramatic 400-foot-high, 3.5-mile-wide Dry Falls cliff, a geological formation created by ancient flooding. The landscape features shrub-steppe habitat with five lakes (Dry Falls, Perch, Red Alkali, Green Alkali, Meadow) totaling over 73,000 feet of shoreline. An interpretive center explains the geology; the Umatilla Rock Trail offers five miles of hiking. On-site recreation includes fishing, swimming, boating, and a golf course operated by Sun Lakes Park Resort.
