Clearwater Lookout Cabin is a single-story 1935 structure sitting at 5,600 feet elevation at the base of a 94-foot CCC steel fire lookout tower. Looking out over the Blue Mountains and the Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness, the cabin is furnished with four extra-long single beds, propane lights, a propane heater, cookstove, refrigerator, outdoor fire pit, picnic table, and outhouse. Water is not available on site. Visitors use the location for hiking, horseback riding, scenic drives along the Tucannon River to Sunset Point, and winter access to groomed snowmobile and ski trails.
