Setting
Situated in a dense ponderosa pine forest near the town of Hunters, Hunters Group Site features three campsites for up to 25 people each along the northern shore of Lake Roosevelt. The property includes fire pits, drinking water, seasonal flush toilets, an on-site host, a beach, and a year-round boat launch. While campsites do not have direct lake views, visitors have immediate access to the water for swimming and fishing for species like walleye, bass, rainbow trout, and salmon. Wild wildlife in the surrounding forest includes moose, elk, deer, and bald eagles.
Getting there: Take State Highway 2 west of Spokane for 32 miles to the town of Davenport. Turn north on State Highway 25 and travel 37 miles. Follow signs for the campground. Turn left (west) on Campground Road in the town of Hunters.
