Set in a thick ponderosa pine forest on the shoreline of Lake Roosevelt, Gifford Group Site offers a single campsite accommodating up to 50 people. The facility includes picnic tables, fire pits, drinking water, and a year-round boat launch for accessing the lake's fishing, boating, and water skiing. The beachfront features shallow water suitable for swimming. Local wildlife includes deer, turkey, moose, elk, and bald eagles. Located near the town of Daisy, the campground is adjacent to the Colville Confederated Tribes' free Gifford Ferry, which crosses the Columbia River every 15 minutes.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.
Moon Mountain stands 1,120 ft above the site, 0.7 miles southwest. A group campground -- most of them shaded. The Round Lake shoreline is 0.5 mi off. The nearest town, Kettle Falls, is 25 mi off.
