Pine Flats Group Campground sits at 1,621 feet under ponderosa pines along the Mad River, next to an open spring meadow. The facility includes one group site for up to 40 people alongside six first-come, first-served single-family sites. Layout amenities feature picnic tables, campfire circles, vault toilets, drinking water, and seasonal trash collection. The Lower Mad River Trail (#1409) originates right at the campground, opening 14 miles of multi-use trails to hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, and motorcyclists.
