Setting
Icicle Group Campground is a single large group site set in a forest of pine and fir along the banks of Icicle Creek in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The site accommodates up to 30 people and six vehicles. Portable toilets are provided on-site, but there is no drinking water available; campers must bring their own supply or haul water from the nearby river for camp use. The location offers access to mountain biking, fishing at nearby Toketie Lake, and day hiking or backpacking via the 10.6-mile Fourth of July Trail into the adjacent Alpine Lakes Wilderness.
Getting there: From the west, take Highway 2 east through Monroe and over Stevens' Pass. Turn right on Icicle River Road and follow for approximately 10.2 miles. The campground will be on the left. From the east, take Highway 2 west through Leavenworth. Turn left on Icicle River Road and follow road approximately 10.2 miles to the campground on the left.
