Eightmile Campground sits in a pine and fir canopy along Icicle Creek inside the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, near the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. The facility features 41 single-family sites and 4 double-family sites, each equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. Drinking water is available from hand pumps on-site. The surrounding area supports mountain biking, fishing for trout in nearby Toketie Lake, and day hiking or backpacking on the adjacent 10.6-mile Fourth of July Trail, which climbs up to expansive viewpoints of the Stuart Mountain Range and Icicle Valley.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Overhead clearance here is posted at 10 ft -- the tightest site sets the limit.

Edward Peak stands 5,368 ft above the site, 2.7 miles south. A river runs 0.1 mi off. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a 26-site campground. Most of them shaded. The nearest town, Leavenworth, is 5.7 mi off.

September normals 5577°F, 1.1″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
