Cottonwood Cabin sits at 3,100 feet in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, tucked into lodgepole pine and spruce along the Entiat River. Built in the 1940s for Forest Service crews, this single-room cabin accommodates up to four guests with basic indoor furnishings, a propane stove, hot and cold seasonal water, solar lights, and a futon. Outside, the site features a private shower, campfire ring, vault toilet, picnic table, and room for one tent. Nearby, the river holds trout, while local trails lead to Silver Falls and the 500-foot-deep Box Canyon.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
Duncan Hill stands 4,706 ft above the site, 2.4 miles north. Entiat River runs 0.1 mi off. Cabins and shelters rather than pads -- one sits on the water, most of them shaded. The nearest town, Manson, is 24 mi off.
