Setting
Chatter Creek Group Campground sits beneath pine and fir trees on the banks of Chatter Creek in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The single large site accommodates up to 45 people and 12 vehicles, equipped with picnic tables, a group fire ring, drinking water, and accessible vault toilets. Visitors fish for trout along the creek or hike nearby routes, including the flat Icicle Gorge Loop Trail and the steeper Chatter Creek Trail. Winter brings options for skijoring, snowmobiling, and skiing at nearby Sno-Parks.
Getting there: From Seattle take Highway 2 East through Monroe and then over Stevens' Pass. Take a right on Icicle River Road and follow road approximately 16 miles. The campground will be on the right. From the East take Highway 2 West through Leavenworth. Take a left on Icicle River Road and follow road approximately 16 miles. The campground will be on the right. From the South take Highway 97 North to Highway 2. Take Highway 2 West through Leavenworth. Take a left on Icicle River Road and follow road approximately 16 miles. The campground will be on the right.
