Stoughton Pond Recreation Area is a day-use park set among rolling hills along the North Branch of the Black River, just north of North Springfield Lake. The grounds feature open lawns shaded by hardwood and softwood trees, a swimming area with a beach, and a group picnic shelter alongside ten individual picnic sites with tables and a large grill. Water access includes a boat ramp for small craft, canoes, and kayaks, with the pond stocked annually with rainbow trout alongside native bass. Facilities on site include flush toilets, drinking water, a change house, and an interpretive trail.

Getting there: Take VT 106 North to Stoughton Pond Road. The facility is about ½ mile to the left in Perkinsville, Vermont.
