Setting
Set seven miles from Rochester, VT, this campground sits along Chittenden Brook in a northern hardwood forest within Green Mountain National Forest. The site has 17 overnight spaces for tents and small RVs up to 18 feet, each equipped with a picnic table, fire ring grill, gravel tent pad, and parking for two cars. Facilities include two vault toilets and a trash/recycling station, with a rentable cabin on site, though no potable water is provided. Local trails run along the brook and past a beaver pond to connect with the Long Trail, while the White River offers nearby tubing and fishing.
Getting there: From Rochester, travel south for 1.0 mile on Route 100 to the junction of Route 73. Follow Route 73 west for 5.1 miles. From Brandon, travel east on Route 73 for 11.2 miles.
