Setting
Stony Fork Cabin is a 900-square-foot log home at the foot of Big Walker Mountain at 2,400 feet elevation, located within Stony Fork Campground along the Big Walker Mountain Scenic Byway. The East Fork of Stony Fork Creek flows past the site, providing trout fishing. The four-guest cabin includes oak floors, a full kitchen, a full bathroom, electricity, drinking water, a washer/dryer, and a private patio with a fire ring and picnic table. Experienced hikers can hit the Seven Sisters Trail right from the campground to climb Little Walker Mountain, while the Appalachian Trail is within 10 miles.
Getting there: Stony Fork Cabin is located inside of Stony Fork Campground. Stony Fork Cabin is located at 109 Krenning Road. From I-77 take Exit 47, turn left onto Route 717 (Krenning Road) and follow for 4 miles to Stony Fork Campground on the left. The Cabin is located inside the campground . The Cabin and Campround is located approximately 10 miles north of Wytheville, VA .
