Setting
Boley Field Group Campground is a rustic, open-field group site situated in a narrow valley along Poverty Creek at the base of Brush Mountain. Designed for groups of up to 50, the fenced field contains a central fire ring, picnic tables, a standing grill, and a vault toilet. Poverty Creek runs right past the site, offering trout fishing and wading, while providing direct access to the 17-mile Poverty Creek Trail System for hikers and mountain bikers. The campground has no drinking water or trash service and sits 20 minutes outside Blacksburg.
Getting there: From Blacksburg (junction of North Main Street and US 460) follow US 460 west for 3 miles. Turn left on FS 708 at the Giles County line. Go 4.5 miles. Boley Field gate is on the left. Park Address: 4145 Straley Valley, Blacksburg, Virginia, 24060
