Otter Creek Campground sits along the Blue Ridge Parkway at an elevation of 649 feet, where Otter Creek winds directly through the grounds. It features 68 sites for tents and RVs—39 reservable and 29 first-come, first-served—equipped with grills, picnic tables, and lantern posts. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, and a dump station. On-site access leads to the 3.5-mile Otter Creek Trail, which runs down to the James River Visitor Center, the restored Battery Creek Canal Lock, and the Trail of Trees. Nearby Otter Lake offers fishing and a 0.9-mile loop trail.
