Why
U.S. Forest Service opens most of its land to dispersed camping unless a local order restricts it. Dead-end road with no mapped turnaround, so expect to back out or unhitch. A cattle guard 0.7 miles in. A water crossing 1.4 miles in.
A well-travelled stretch, with camps along here. The Ant Hill stands 2,248 ft above the site, 3.3 miles northwest.
