Fruita Campground sits in a grassy, shaded oasis within the historic district of Capitol Reef National Park, adjacent to the Fremont River. The facility offers 71 campsites (with three accessible sites providing medical-device electrical hookups) equipped with picnic tables and fire rings or grills. Amenities include flush toilets, an RV dump station, and a potable water fill station, though individual sites lack hookups. Located a mile from the visitor center, it offers direct access to historic pioneer orchards, the Gifford Homestead, petroglyphs, and the Cohab Canyon hiking trail.
