Fishlake National Forest, Fremont River Ranger District allows dispersed camping here -- 16-day limit in any 30 days. Camp at least 200 ft from water.
All 1.5 miles in are maintained only for high-clearance vehicles. Dirt the whole way in (1.5 miles). Climbs 530 ft over 1.5 miles -- sustained grades near 14%, with pitches to 17%. Little level ground alongside -- few of the stretches measured have a flat spot to pull onto. Winds through 7 switchbacks.
Chokecherry Point stands 2,475 ft above the site, 2.3 miles south. A well-travelled stretch -- travellers have camped along here. The nearest town, Monroe, is 52 mi off.
