South Campground in UT -- Campground & RV Camping in Utah

South Campground is situated along the Virgin River near the south entrance of Zion National Park, shaded by cottonwood trees. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, the campground provides tent and RV sites without hookups, alongside four group sites. Facilities include flush toilets, drinking water, picnic tables, fire pits, and a dump station. The location sits a short walk from the Zion Canyon Visitor Center and shuttle system, with direct access to the Watchman Trail, Archeology Trail, and the paved, dog-friendly Pa'rus Trail.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Overhead clearance here is posted at 12 ft -- the tightest site sets the limit.
