Currant Creek Guard Station is an 8,000-foot mountain complex adjacent to Currant Creek Reservoir. Surrounded by aspen, fir, and pine forests, the facility features a two-unit duplex cabin that sleeps up to 16 total guests across three bedrooms. Both units contain running water, flush toilets, hot showers, propane heat, and kitchens with appliances; guests must bring their own bedding and eating utensils. The site also offers four full-hookup RV pads and access to nearby reservoir boating, trout fishing, and ORV trailheads.

Road difficulty 3 of 5 -- a rough drive in. Recorded as maintained only for high-clearance vehicles, dirt, pitching to 8%. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.

Jimmies Point stands 1,394 ft above the site, 1.5 miles south. The Currant Creek Reservoir shoreline is 0.4 mi off. The nearest town, Daniel, is 20 mi off.

September normals 3769°F, 1.9″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
