Hope Campground sits along Squaw Peak Road near Provo Canyon at an elevation of 6,500 feet, shaded by maple, scrub oak, and fir trees. The primitive layout includes family campsites equipped with picnic tables, grills, campfire rings, and vault toilets. No drinking water is provided on site. Nearby trailheads lead to the Rock Canyon Trail, Squaw Peak Trail, and mountain biking routes, while Bridal Veil Falls and Vivian Park are six miles away. The Aspen Grove Trailhead for Mount Timpanogos sits 15 miles from the grounds.

Road difficulty 3 of 5 -- a rough drive in. Recorded as maintained for passenger cars, dirt, pitching to 14%, 100% of it on a shelf. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.

Cascade Mountain stands 4,220 ft above the site, 1.4 miles east. Crowded here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a 26-site campground. Night skies measure Bortle 5 -- a rural sky with a glow on the horizon. Most of them shaded. The nearest town, Provo, is 4.2 mi off.

September normals 5173°F, 2.3″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
