Steinaker State Park in UT -- Campground & RV Camping

Steinaker State Park occupies 2,283 acres in the high desert near Vernal in Uintah County, at 5,500-foot elevation. The 31 RV campsites, sand beach, boat ramp, and restrooms support fishing for rainbow trout and largemouth bass, plus swimming, boating, and water skiing at the 162-foot-high reservoir. Vegetation includes juniper, cacti, and sagebrush; wildlife includes mule deer, golden eagles, hawks, and osprey. The park opened to the public in 1964.
