Setting

Fairly secluded

Oaks Park Reservoir sits surrounded by trails and off-highway vehicle terrain, offering 11 campsites along its southern shore. A pump handle well on the western bank supplies water for campers. Pathways lead north from the water into open OHV riding areas, while a southern trail heads directly to Big Brush Creek Cave, making the campground a practical base for both motorized trail riding and subterranean exploration.

Getting there: From Vernal, Utah travel 20 miles north on US 191. Then go 14 miles northwest on Forest Road 018.

  • Well separated here, with the nearest through road 0.7 miles off.
