Group campground in a grassy meadow bordered by pines and aspens in Ashley National Forest. Vault toilets and picnic tables; no potable water. $20 per night, reservable via recreation.gov. Located 5 miles off US Highway 191 via Red Cloud Loop Scenic Backway, 20 miles north of Vernal. Off-highway vehicle trails and caving nearby.
Getting there: From Vernal, Utah: Travel north on U.S. Highway 191 for 20 miles. Turn northwest onto Forest Road 018/Red Cloud Loop and travel approximately 5 miles to the campground.
