Setting
Yellow Pine Campground sits at 7,200 feet elevation on the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway in the Uinta Mountains, running along Yellow Pine Creek under pine and aspen cover. It offers 33 single campsites with picnic tables and fire rings, alongside vault toilets. Yellow Pine, North Fork, and Shingle Creek trails begin nearby for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, while off-road vehicle trails sit in the vicinity. Trout fishing is available on the Lower Provo River across the highway.
Getting there: In Kamas, UT, at the intersection of State Rt. 32 (Main St.) and State Rt. 150 (Center St.), take Rt. 150 (Mirror Lake Scenic Byway) east 6.8 miles to the campground sign. Turn left at the sign into the campground.
