Frying Pan Campground sits on a sagebrush-covered hillside at 9,000 feet along the Fishlake Scenic Byway, three miles north of Fish Lake. Thin stands of aspen trees provide light shade across the single-family sites and the lone 100-person group site. The paved facility includes drinking water, flush toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings, with views overlooking the northern end of the lake basin. Visitors come to fish and boat on Fish Lake or access nearby routes like the Lakeshore National Recreation Trail and the Pelican Canyon Trail.
