Setting
Doctor Creek Campground sits at 9,000 feet on the southern tip of Fish Lake in Mallard Bay, surrounded by sagebrush, aspens, and cottonwoods within the Pando aspen clone. It offers single-family sites and two 150-person group sites equipped with shelters, tables, and fire rings, alongside paved roads, flush toilets, drinking water, and an RV dump station. Fish Lake provides trout and splake fishing, boating, and swimming, while Coots Slough ponds sit just south. The Lakeshore National Recreation Trail skirts the lake, and Johnson Valley Reservoir is nearby.
Getting there: From Highway 24 northwest of Loa, Utah, take Highway 25 northeast approximately 7 miles to the campground.
