Gooseberry Group Campground sits at an elevation of 8,500 feet on an aspen-covered hillside above Gooseberry Reservoir on the Wasatch Plateau. The terrain features a mix of aspens, fir trees, sagebrush, and meadow grasses. The campground offers group campsites equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, and drinking water; there is no garbage service, so visitors must pack out all trash. The nearby reservoir provides opportunities for canoeing and trout fishing, while the adjacent Great Western Trail accommodates hiking, mountain biking, and off-road vehicle riding.
