Hamburger Rock Campground sits directly at the base of Hamburger Rock, a red sandstone monolith in the Indian Creek region of Bears Ears National Monument. Located off Needles Highway near Canyonlands National Park, it offers 10 primitive campsites with sparse shade provided by nearby junipers and the rock formation itself. Each site includes a tent/trailer space, picnic table, and fire ring, with vault toilets available on site. There is no drinking water. The terrain offers immediate proximity to Indian Creek's rock climbing, OHV routes, and sandstone canyon landscapes.

Road difficulty 3 of 5 -- a rough drive in. BLM plans this as maintained only for high-clearance vehicles -- condition unverified. Recorded as dirt, pitching to 8%. Sits on broad, near-level ground.

Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a 10-site campground. Indian Creek runs 1.2 mi off. North Sixshooter Peak stands 1,322 ft above the site, 3.8 miles south. The nearest town, Moab, is 27 mi off.

September normals 5285°F, 0.9″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
