Tanners Flat Campground sits at 7,200 feet along Little Cottonwood Creek, shaded by pine, aspen, oak, and maple trees six miles from Sandy. The facility features paved roads and parking spurs serving 31 single sites, three double sites, four group sites, and a reservable amphitheater. Amenities include picnic tables, campfire rings, drinking water, vault and flush toilets, a volleyball court, and firewood sales. Little Cottonwood Creek runs past the grounds for trout fishing, and nearby canyon trailheads lead to alpine destinations like Red Pine Lake and White Pine Lake.

Getting there: From I-215, take the 6200 South exit and travel a mile east to Wasatch Blvd. Take Wasatch Blvd 3 miles south to junction with Little Cottonwood Canyon/Highway 210. Take a left at the junction and travel up Little Cottonwood Canyon for 4.1 miles to the campground.
