Setting
Redman Campground sits at 8,300 feet in Big Cottonwood Canyon, shaded by a forest of spruce and pine trees. The facility includes two group sites alongside single, double, and triple-family sites set on dirt roads and parking spurs. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, picnic tables, and campfire rings. Big Cottonwood Creek runs nearby for fly-fishing, and local hiking options include the nearby Donut Falls Trail. Solitude Mountain Resort is located a half-mile up the canyon, with Silver Lake positioned another mile beyond.
Getting there: From I-215, take the 6200 South exit and travel a mile east to Wasatch Blvd. Take Wasatch Blvd a mile south to junction with Big Cottonwood Canyon/Highway 190. Make a left at the junction and travel up Big Cottonwood Canyon for 14 miles to the campground.
