Setting
Jordan Pines Campground is a group-only facility situated at 7,500 feet elevation in Big Cottonwood Canyon among shady pines and aspens. Designed for gatherings, the site offers four overnight group campsites and one day-use picnic area, requiring advance reservations. Amenities include paved roads, picnic tables, campfire rings, grills, vault toilets, drinking water, a volleyball court, and a horseshoe pit. Campers come for fly-fishing on nearby Big Cottonwood Creek or hiking and biking on nearby routes like the Donut Falls Trail, with Solitude Mountain Resort four miles up the canyon.
Getting there: From I-215, take the 6200 south exit and travel a mile east to Wasatch Blvd. Take Wasatch Blvd a mile south to junction with Big Cottonwood Canyon/Highway 190. Make a left at the junction and travel up Big Cottonwood Canyon 9.2 miles to the campground.
