Bear Canyon Campground sits at 6,800 feet in a grassy meadow along Salt Creek, right off the Nebo Loop Scenic Byway on the edge of the Mount Nebo Wilderness. Edged by aspen and fir trees, the site offers little shade over its paved roads and spurs. Camping is limited to three paved group sites accommodating 20 to 60 people, each built with picnic tables, serving tables, grills, campfire rings, and vault toilets or portable toilets. This is a pack-in/pack-out facility with no drinking water on site. Salt Creek provides trout fishing, and the Bear Canyon Trail begins at the entrance.
