Upper Onion Creek Group Sites sit along Utah State Route 128, offering views of the Colorado River canyon, Fisher Towers, Castle Valley, and the La Sal Mountains. Group Site A features a horse corral and sits next to equestrian trails and the Onion Creek four-wheel-drive road. Facilities across the sites include shade shelters, picnic tables, fire grates, and vault toilets. There are no electric hookups, drinking water, or RV dump stations on-site. Boat ramps are available at nearby Lower Onion Creek and Hittle Bottom, with Arches National Park located 40 minutes away.

Getting there: From Moab, drive north to Highway 128, turn right on 128. Between mile markers 21 and 22 you will see the sign marking the Onion Creek road. Turn right and go about a half a mile. The group areas are on the left side of the road.
