Setting
Gold Bar Group Sites sit along the Colorado River off Highway 279, 15 minutes from Moab. Set against red rock canyon walls, the four sites are designed primarily for tent camping, with limited RV parking. Sites A, B, and C feature shade shelters, with Site B adding a hammock structure. Site D lacks shade but fits motorhomes. Facilities include picnic tables, fire grates, vault toilets, and an on-site boat ramp for river access. There is no drinking water, electric hookups, or dump station. The Corona Arch trailhead is located nearby.
Getting there: From Moab, drive five miles north on Hwy 191 to the intersection with Hwy 279. Turn left/west on Hwy 279 and drive ten miles to the campground entrance road.
