The park showcases 135–155-million-year-old fossilized logs from the Jurassic Morrison Formation; mineral oxides color the wood orange, red, yellow, blue, and purple. Twenty-two-site campground at 5,900-foot elevation. Hiking trails including the one-mile Petrified Forest Trail loop and 0.75-mile Sleeping Rainbows Trail.
