Temple Mountain Townsite Campground sits at the mouth of Temple Wash in the historic Temple Mountain Mining District, where red and white rock spires form the eastern edge of the San Rafael Swell. Located at the junction of Temple Mountain Road and Behind-the-Reef Road, it offers access to historic uranium mines, the Temple Mountain Pictograph Panel, and Wilderness slot canyons including Chute, Wild Horse, and nearby Little Wild Horse Canyon. Goblin Valley State Park is located two miles east.
