Setting
Situated along the San Rafael River where Buckhorn Wash joins the gorge, this campground has three distinct loops: Swinging Bridge North, Swinging Bridge South, and an Equestrian Loop. Sites feature tent pads, picnic tables, fire rings, and toilets, while the equestrian area adds individual and central horse corrals. Cottonwoods and shade shelters sit below the high cliffs of Buckhorn Draw and nearby peaks. The historic 1937 San Rafael Swinging Bridge spans the river alongside, and trails like the 17-mile Little Grand Canyon path stem from the area. Drinking water is not provided.
