Designated sites only

U.S. Forest Service allows overnight stays only at the designated sites here.

Sitting in an unshaded sagebrush meadow at 7,000 feet, this site offers two solar-powered rustic structures: a two-bedroom dwelling for six and a one-bedroom cabin for four. Outfitted with LP ranges, sinks, cookware, flush toilets, and heated showers, neither unit has electricity or refrigerators, though boat and utility trailers are permitted (no RVs). Ponderosa pine and pinyon-juniper frame views of nearby Joes Valley Reservoir, which features public boat ramps. Straight and Cottonwood Canyons offer bouldering nearby, and the 370-mile Arapeen OHV Trail System connects directly to the site.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.

White Knoll stands 2,843 ft above the site, 3.6 miles southwest. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a 2-site campground. Cabins and shelters rather than pads. Littles Creek runs 0.6 mi off. The nearest town, Orangeville, is 14 mi off.

September normals 4271°F, 1.5″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
