Huntington State Park centers on a warm-water reservoir set beneath cinnamon-colored buttes at 5,840 feet elevation. All campground sites include electrical and water hookups installed in 2017, serving waterskiing, fishing for largemouth bass and bluegill, and crawdad catching in the recreational reservoir created by the Bureau of Reclamation. The 111-acre park, opened in 1966 and named for early explorers, supports migratory bird populations and offers a quiet desert-oasis setting.
